Ahsan Iqbal blames PPP’s Naveed Qamar for hike in sugar prices

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) chief Ahsan Iqbal has blamed Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Naveed Qamar for the hot hike in sugar prices in Pakistan, ARY News reported.

In an interview with a non-public channel, PML-N’s Ahsan Iqbal lashed out at former federal minister for trade Naveed Qamar for exporting sugar.

He stated that PPP’s Naveed Qamar accepted the export of sugar and PML-N can’t be blamed for the hike in sugar prices as the choices have been taken by means of the PDM coalition executive.

On the opposite hand, Naveed Qamar defended his choice of exporting sugar pronouncing that Pakistan had further sugar that’s why sugar export used to be allowed. The sugar disaster is not going to finish till the smuggling and hoarding is stopped.
