KARACHI: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) okayed on Tuesday a major reshuffle in the Sindh police division on the request of the provincial caretaker executive, ARY News reported.
According to the notification, Grade-21 officer Khadim Hussian Rind has been appointed because the new police chief of Karachi whilst Syed Asad Raza was once posted as DIG South Zone Karachi.
Similarly, Asim Khan was once appointed as DIG West Zone, Ghulam Asghar DIG East Zone, Tariq Razzaque will function DIG Hyderabad Range and Tanveer Alam Odho was once posted as DIG Mirpurkhas Range.
The transfer comes an afternoon after the Sindh Services, General Administration & Coordination Department responded to the letter of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) relating to transfers and postings of officials, and has additionally despatched a listing of names to be authorized for posting.

The ECP had written to the caretaker executive about non-compliance with orders relating to transfers and postings of officials.
Earlier, the Sindh executive imposed a ban on transfers and posting around the province. As in step with main points, the verdict to prohibit transfers and posting around the province is taken through the ECP directives.
