KARACHI: A case challenging the Sindh Environmental Tribunal’s decision on the construction of the Malir Expressway was presented in the Sindh High Court (SHC) on Saturday, as reported by ARY News.
The petitioner argues that the construction of the Malir Expressway will cause harm to the natural environment and is demanding that the permissions for the project be declared ‘illegal’.
The Government Advocate noted that the appeal seems to be against the judgment of the Sindh Environmental Tribunal, but the specific judgment referred to in the appeal was not mentioned.
The petitioner requested time to amend the appeal and the court adjourned the case until August 23.
