ISLAMABAD: The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will meet nowadays (Sunday) to sight the moon of Shawal 1443 AH, which is able to come to a decision the primary day of Eidul Fitr 2022.
The primary assembly of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee can be held on the Ministry of Spiritual Affairs and Interfaith Unity in Islamabad with Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad within the chair, whilst the zonal committees will sight the Shawwal crescent of their respective spaces.
Maulana Azad will announce the general resolution concerning the sighting of the crescent.
If the moon is noticed nowadays, Pakistan will mark Eidul Fitr the next day (Monday).
Alternatively, the Pakistan Meteorological Division (PMD) mentioned that there aren’t any probabilities of the Shawwal moon being sighted nowadays and subsequently, Eidul Fitr might fall on Tuesday in Pakistan.
In the meantime, South Waziristan in Pakistan and Afghanistan are celebrating Eid nowadays after sighting the Shawwal moon the day prior to this.
